Beach walks before breakfast. Coffee in the village. Your own little corner of the Anglesey coast.
Some holidays are better when you can leave the car parked, wander out without a plan and see where the day takes you. At Flat 1 Waverley, the beach, village cafés and places to eat are all close enough to make that easy.
Our freshly redecorated, two-bedroom apartment sits on Rhosneigr’s High Street, with a path opposite leading towards Traeth Crigyll, around 100 metres away. Head out for an early walk along the sand, linger over lunch in the village, then come home to a comfortable space that’s yours for the evening.
With room for four, flexible sleeping arrangements and an allocated parking space, Waverley is a welcoming base for a couples’ escape, a family beach holiday or a few days away with friends. Dogs are welcome too.
A coastal stay that feels like your own
There’s room to settle in, share a meal and enjoy those quieter moments between adventures.
Open a bottle, put your feet up after a long coastal walk or spend an evening planning tomorrow’s outing. Being close to the beach is part of the appeal; having somewhere comfortable to return to makes the holiday.
The apartment is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance, so you can come and go at your own pace.
Two bedrooms, arranged around your stay
Bedroom one has a double bed, while bedroom two can be prepared as either a king-size bed or two singles. It’s a useful choice whether you’re visiting as two couples, bringing the children or travelling with a friend.
For guests bringing little ones, a travel cot and high chair are available on request.
Slow mornings and easy evenings
Start the day with a Nespresso coffee before heading for the beach, bring back something for lunch or make a proper evening of cooking together.
The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine. Whether your holiday style is homemade breakfasts or working your way around the local restaurants, you have the freedom to do both.
Wi-Fi and a combined washer-dryer help make longer stays easy, too.
Rhosneigr on your doorstep
One of Waverley’s best features is how little organising a day here needs.
Take the path opposite towards Traeth Crigyll for a morning by the sea, or explore more of the coastline towards Traeth Llydan. Spend an afternoon watching the activity on the water, walking along the shore or simply finding a spot to sit and take it all in.
Back in the village, you’re a stroll away from coffee, cake, lunch and an evening drink. Café Notos is one of our favourites, while Medra is just a little farther along the High Street. For a meal out, The Oyster Catcher is another local option we enjoy.
Your allocated off-road parking space is directly in front of the building, ready for when you return from exploring.
In addition to everything Anglesey has to offer Snowdonia National park is only 30 minutes by car.
Bring your four-legged holiday companion
A coastal break is even better with your dog beside you. Up to two dogs are welcome at Waverley, with an additional charge of £20 per dog, per stay.
There’s no private garden, but with the coast so close, it’s easy to make a walk part of every day’s plans.
An island to explore, in every season
Rhosneigr is a lovely place to settle into, but it also makes a base for discovering more of Anglesey.
Head to Newborough for forest trails and a wide sweep of beach, explore the woodland and coastal paths at Penrhos, or make your way towards Trearddur Bay for a walk followed by something to eat. Fill your days with outings or keep returning to your favourite stretch of sand.
Summer brings long beach days and evenings when you’re in no hurry to head indoors. In the cooler months, there’s a different pleasure in a bracing walk, a warm drink in the village and an unhurried evening back at the flat.
